Look up from your screen, gaze at the sky. 'Uchu-so' delivers dreams to children.
*Our company endorses April Dream, a project that aims to make April 1st a day for companies to announce their dreams. This press release represents the dream of "PassionPlanets Inc."
"We want to increase the time children spend looking up at the night sky and imagining their future."
PassionPlanets Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ayano Yanai) declares its dream to restore "time to look up at the sky and envision the future" to society through its service 'Uchu-so' (meaning 'Space Sentiment'), which utilizes artificial satellites to send people's sentiments and precious items into space.
What is being lost in a world where screen time has increased
Smartphones, tablets, personal computers. In modern times, with the rapid expansion of the content business, most of what we look at has become monitors and mobile screens. Both children and adults spend the majority of their day in "the world inside the screen."
Once, people looked up at the sky more often. They made wishes on shooting stars, felt the seasons through the phases of the moon, and imagined their future while gazing at the night sky. That time is gradually being lost.
What we truly want to deliver is not a service, but that time itself.
From "on the roof" to "space" for baby teeth
In Japan, there was a custom when a child's baby tooth fell out: the lower teeth were thrown onto the roof, and the upper teeth were thrown under the floorboards. This was done with the parents' wish for "strong teeth to grow in."
With 'Uchu-so,' there is actually a family who launched their child's baby tooth into space. The era has come when the sentiments once thrown onto the roof can now reach space.
The baby tooth, carried by an artificial satellite, continues to orbit the Earth. Even when that child becomes an adult, they can look up at the night sky and think, "My tooth is near that star." Such special memories and the habit of looking up at the sky are born together.
It's not just baby teeth. Marriage proposals, letters to one's future self, family DNA. We offer everyone the experience of sending precious sentiments into space aboard an artificial satellite, and feeling, every time they look up at the night sky, "My sentiment is somewhere in that orbit."

Our Dream
May the time spent looking up at the sky increase, even if just a little.
There are countless contents within screens. But there are certainly things that can only be felt when looking up at the night sky. The feeling of how small one's existence is. Yet, the sense that one is in this vast universe. The hope that the future is still infinitely expansive.
Our dream is to create a world where, through Uchu-so, as many children as possible look up at the night sky and imagine their possibilities on a cosmic scale.

From Representative Director Ayano Yanai
"When I once looked at Earth from the stratosphere, I experienced the profound emotion that 'the world is one.' At that moment, there was something in the sky that did not exist in any screen. I want to deliver dreams beyond the screen to children. I want to leave the next generation with time to look up at the night sky and imagine their future. Uchu-so is a service born from that sentiment."
"April Dream" is a project by PR TIMES where companies announce dreams they wish to achieve on April 1st. We are seriously committed to realizing this dream.
