Pasona Job Hub Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Motoyoshi Takagi), in collaboration with CAMPFIRE Inc. (hereinafter "CAMPFIRE"), operator of one of Japan's largest crowdfunding platforms, and C to H LLC (hereinafter "C to H"), which operates coworking spaces in the Noto region, will launch a special page titled "Kyoso x OKUNOTO" on July 1 (Wed.) to support individuals aiming to start businesses in the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture, which was affected by the "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake" and other disasters.
As part of this initiative, the three companies will also begin accepting applications today for participants in the "Okunoto Satellite Kitchen" project. This project involves setting up trailer house-style dining spaces in shopping streets in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, to support individuals challenging new business ventures, such as the food and beverage industry.
In the four municipalities of the Noto region in Ishikawa Prefecture (Wajima City, Suzu City, Noto Town, and Anamizu Town), depopulation has accelerated since the earthquake (approximately a 14% decrease in two years)※1. With the outflow of younger generations particularly pronounced, there is a shortage of individuals to lead businesses that widely promote the region's attractions, including food and beverage, accommodation, and tourism. In this context, there is a need to foster future regional leaders by engaging people from both within and outside the region to create new business opportunities and human flow.
Pasona Job Hub has been involved in nationwide projects such as "JOB HUB LOCAL," which connects regional companies with multi-talented professionals from urban areas, building networks with such professionals and supporting problem-solving and the creation of new work styles in various regions.
In the Noto region, through commissioned projects※2 from the Japan Tourism Agency and Suzu City, we have promoted tourism recovery support and the cultivation of related populations, primarily in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, by collaborating with regional businesses to attract digital nomads, develop tourism content, and conduct monitor tours.
The challenger support platform "Kyoso x OKUNOTO," launching today, will recruit individuals aiming for new business development in the Okunoto area through a special webpage.
On this platform, CAMPFIRE will provide support for fundraising through crowdfunding and creating connections with supporters. C to H will serve as the local base in the Okunoto region, supporting collaboration between individuals and regional businesses taking on challenges, as well as supporting individuals and companies who offer encouragement, and managing the "Okunoto Satellite Kitchen." Pasona Job Hub will leverage its human resource network cultivated through projects like "JOB HUB LOCAL" to recruit entrepreneurs for this project, conduct public relations activities for supporters, and provide support for business plan formulation, advice on fundraising, and mentoring on marketing and PR strategies for those aiming for new business development.
Through this initiative, Pasona Job Hub aims to create opportunities for diverse human resources from both within and outside the region to thrive in the Okunoto region, contributing to the recovery of the disaster-stricken area and the creation of a sustainable region.
※1 Estimated by Ishikawa Prefecture and announced on January 1, 2026.
※2 "Demonstration Project for Establishing Environment and Systems for Accepting Digital Nomads" commissioned by the Japan Tourism Agency in FY2024, and "Tourism Recovery Plan Formulation and Content Development/Monitor Tour Support Services for Tourism Reconstruction" commissioned by Suzu City in FY2025.
