Pasona Masters Inc., with the cooperation of the Japan Ecotourism Society, will hold an online course titled "Ecotourism Guide Course: First Ecotourism Learning Journey - Gateway to Becoming a Future Guide" on Saturday, June 27, 2026. This course is primarily targeted at the middle and senior generations, providing them with new opportunities for learning and active participation in the fields of environment, local communities, and tourism.
As population decline, a shortage of regional workers, and the sustainability of tourism become pressing issues, there are growing expectations for human resources who can support both tourism and environmental conservation while conveying the value of local nature and culture to visitors. One of the entities fulfilling such a role is community-based guides, and as a practical application of this, interest in ecotourism is expanding.
Therefore, in this course, participants will learn the basic concepts and practical methods of ecotourism, as well as deepen their understanding of how to interact with local communities and the role of a guide. Through this, we provide an opportunity for the middle and senior generations to utilize the experience and knowledge they have cultivated so far, expanding the possibilities for new active participation related to local communities and tourism.
Moving forward, in addition to holding continuous seminars, we will proceed with creating mechanisms that connect learning to practice and active participation through the provision of training opportunities and human resource matching.
