Pasona and HIPUS to Provide Comprehensive Support for Mold Management from System Establishment to Operation, Anticipating the Appropriate Transaction Act - Business Collaboration with BPO x "SACT" to Commence on April 2nd

Pasona Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Shintaro Nakao) and HIPUS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kiyoshi Asami) will commence a business collaboration on Thursday, April 2nd, to provide comprehensive support for optimizing mold management and improving operational efficiency in the manufacturing industry, by combining BPO services with the mold management cloud service "SACT."

Amid increasing demands for fair trade and strengthened compliance across the entire supply chain, the "Act on the Proper Transaction of Subcontracting, etc. for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" (commonly known as the "Appropriate Transaction Act" or "Toritekiho"), which will come into effect on January 1, 2026, makes the establishment of a management system for proper subcontracting transactions even more crucial. In particular, for the location, storage status, cost burden, and storage period of molds, appropriate rule-making and evidence management in line with actual transaction conditions are required.

On the other hand, in many companies, mold information is dispersed across departments, locations, and business partners, leading to inconsistencies in ledgers and increased inventory burden. As a result, it has become difficult to balance legal compliance and cost optimization, making the urgent establishment of an appropriate management system necessary.

Pasona operates the "X-Tech BPO" business, which supports corporate business reform and productivity improvement by optimally combining people and technology.

HIPUS was established as a shared service company for Hitachi, Ltd.'s procurement department, and widely supports procurement and purchasing operations, including DX promotion in the procurement of materials and parts for companies, management of domestic and international suppliers, and development of procurement personnel.

In this collaboration, by combining Pasona's BPO services with HIPUS's mold management cloud service "SACT," companies will receive comprehensive support from the establishment of a mold management system to daily operations and audit responses. Pasona will handle operational tasks such as information registration/update, inventory actuals, and coordination with business partners related to mold management. HIPUS will provide mold management system provision/operation support and propose process design/improvement leveraging its procurement and purchasing expertise. Furthermore, through sales collaboration between the two companies, they will promote service introduction proposals to manufacturing companies and provide ongoing support until on-site operations are established.

Through this collaboration, Pasona and HIPUS will contribute to the sustainable growth of the manufacturing industry and the realization of a fair trading environment.
