About the Book (Author's Thoughts)

Things I wanted to say but couldn't, things I thought of alone and laughed at alone. When I tried to give form to what was supposed to quietly disappear, the poetic form of tanka fit my hands the best. I wrote this because when I was incredibly busy and feeling down, I wanted people to feel relieved by knowing someone like this exists.

Born and residing in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. Began writing tanka in 2016.

Affiliated with 'Tankabu Kapukapu', a young tanka enthusiasts' group in the Ishinomaki region.

Appears intermittently on Radio Ishinomaki's 'Tankabu Kapukapu's Tanka Tanka Tanka'.

Authored first collection 'harako' (TNYM books), second collection 'Hunting Cap no Ebi' (Ginga Shoseki)

Likes crabs more than eating crabs three times over.
