Live Concert with Earphones? Technics Hosts a Silent Music Event Featuring STUTS, DJ ZAI, and Others

Panasonic Corporation held a new music live event, "SILENT BLOCK PARTY by Technics," at Shibuya THE ROOM on March 2, 2026. This live event utilized "Auracast," a function that allows audio to be distributed from a single sound source to multiple earphones with low latency and high sound quality.

This event, to which users of the "EAH-AZ100" completely wireless earphones were invited, was held with the aim of allowing fans to delve deeper into the world of the Technics brand, which has a history of over 60 years, and to experience new ways of enjoying music. It also served as a platform to propose the possibilities of a new live experience realized through the use of Auracast.

On the day of the event, attendees wore the "EAH-AZ100" completely wireless earphones, and audio was distributed to individual earphones via Auracast from transmitters installed in the venue. This created a new live space where each attendee could experience high-quality and immersive sound, even in a "silent" environment where no sound was emitted from the venue's speakers.

At the venue, the event kicked off with a DJ set by DJ ZAI, followed by a live performance by STUTS, and a session featuring Akihisa Kitazato. The clear and delicate sound delivered through the earphones, combined with the close proximity to the performers, created a highly immersive experience different from traditional club events.

Performers also praised the unique experience of the event, with comments such as, "By delivering sound through earphones, I was able to express myself in a way different from usual," and "It was a strange feeling, like a personal experience while sharing sound with the audience."
