Panasonic Housing Solutions Launches "System Kitchen MXII"

Panasonic AW Engineering Co., Ltd. (President: Akihiko Adachi, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), part of the Panasonic Housing Solutions Co., Ltd. group, will launch its new model "System Kitchen MXII" on September 1, 2026. This renewal and enhanced lineup of system kitchens for apartment buildings is primarily aimed at the rental housing market.

Background of Development

The Company focuses on its housing equipment business, which handles sales of water-related housing equipment and related construction, and its rental solutions business. The annual shipment volume of its unit baths exceeds approximately 100,000 units each year, and they are widely adopted in newly built rental apartments and condominiums.

In recent years, soaring real estate prices have led to increased attention on rental housing for families and a trend towards smaller floor plans, resulting in greater diversification of properties. Amidst this, there has been an increasing number of requests for kitchen set proposals for medium to large-scale properties where multiple floor plans coexist.

Therefore, leveraging the Company's strength in offering kitchen set proposals alongside its highly popular unit baths, Panasonic AW Engineering is launching the new model "System Kitchen MXII" on September 1, 2026. This new model enhances design and functionality through expanded sizes, increased item selection, refreshed door pattern variations, and the introduction of a flat-style island kitchen, enabling it to cater to an even wider range of properties.

"System Kitchen MXII" will be developed as a new standard model that meets the diversifying needs of the rental housing market and provides value in design, construction, and resident satisfaction.

1. Adaptability to rental properties for families

Wall-mounted kitchen: New widths of 2,250 mm and 2,400 mm added.

Flat-style island kitchen: New widths from 1,500 mm to 2,100 mm added.

While standard compact kitchens for rental housing typically offer widths up to 2,100 mm, "System Kitchen MXII" expands this with 2,250 mm and 2,400 mm options for wall-mounted kitchens.

This allows for accommodation of various unit layouts within mixed-layout properties using the same series from the same manufacturer.

Additionally, soft-close drawer slides and wall cabinets/range hoods up to H700 mm (including options for back ventilation) are now available.

Furthermore, a new island kitchen plan, the "Flat-style island kitchen," has been introduced. This offers a new island plan that creates a sense of spaciousness by integrating with the living and dining area.

2. Adaptability to compact floor plans for single residents

Wall-mounted kitchen: New widths of 900 mm and 1,050 mm added.

Compact widths of 900 mm and 1,050 mm, often required for single-occupant units, have been added, enabling mini-kitchen sizes within the same series from the same manufacturer.

Despite their compact size, water draining plates and two-burner cooking appliances (IH/gas) are available to maximize countertop usability.

Plans that can be used as a "washbasin and kitchen" by installing the "Compact Box" storage with a mirror are also available.

3. Diverse optional equipment and selectable items

To meet a wide range of needs, optional equipment and selectable items have been enhanced.
