Panasonic Housing Solutions to Relocate and Reopen "Public Pro Studio Tokyo" to Strengthen Solution Proposals for Public Facilities

Panasonic Housing Solutions Co., Ltd. (President and Executive Officer: Shoji Yamada, Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka) will renew and relocate its "Public Pro Studio Tokyo" (Sumitomo Fudosan Shiodome Hama-rikyu Building 22F, 8-21-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo - by appointment only) for public facilities on May 8, 2026.
The company has long evolved technologies cultivated in residential equipment and building materials for public use, expanding into welfare, medical, education, office, and commercial facilities.
Recently, social issues surrounding the construction industry have become apparent. The grace period for the "Revised Labor Standards Act," enforced in April 2019, has ended, and from April 2024, overtime work regulations have been implemented in the construction industry, reaching the limit of compensating for labor shortages with overtime. Additionally, buildings consume significant energy during construction (material manufacturing and execution) and operation, resulting in high CO2 emissions. Therefore, environmental considerations for achieving a decarbonized society require the promotion of energy-saving designs, introduction of renewable energy, and widespread adoption of high-environmental performance buildings such as ZEB and ZEH. Public Pro Studio Tokyo opened on April 6, 2022, as "Life Care Housing Pro Studio" on the 3rd floor of the company's Tokyo Shiodome Building, as part of efforts to expand product recognition for public facilities. To further strengthen product proposals, the facility was renamed "Public Pro Studio" in March 2024 and has continued operations. To solve the challenges faced by the construction industry, it will be relocated and renovated as a solution-oriented proposal facility focusing on four themes: "Architectural Process Innovation," "Sustainable Architecture," "Resilience Functions," and "Well-being Space Design." By proposing points that are difficult to convey with individual products as an experiential space, the aim is to improve usability for business owners, design offices, construction companies, house builders, as well as national and municipal government officials.
