In fiscal year 2025, the Pal System Group provided grants totaling 50,535,737 yen to 199 organizations working to solve regional social issues. Amidst unstable global affairs and ongoing domestic price hikes impacting daily life, we offer financial support to various organizations tackling diverse regional challenges. Through collaboration with grant recipients, we aim to expand the role of consumer cooperatives in local communities.

Supporting Grassroots Activities with Consumers

In fiscal year 2025, 199 organizations received grants totaling 50,535,737 yen through 11 grant systems operated by 9 group organizations. The grant funds are managed using surplus from businesses such as home delivery, mutual aid, and welfare services of each organization, connecting consumer purchasing behavior to regional support.

The 7 Pal System cooperatives support a wide range of citizen activities within the regions where they operate through their grant systems. Pal System Mutual Aid supports activities for the needy by various regional organizations, as well as educational, welfare, and health maintenance activities by consumers. Pal System Federation supports community development activities by suppliers and production areas across the country.

By leveraging the collaborative strength of cooperatives and regional organizations, we will support activities that aim to create communities where everyone can live comfortably through human connections, together with our consumers.

Examples of Grant Recipient Activities (Grants awarded in FY2024, utilized in FY2025 projects)

"Taiki Coop Farm Co., Ltd." (Grant recipient of Pal System Federation's "Community Development Fund")

Taiki Coop Farm Co., Ltd. (Gojo City, Nara Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Munetaka Wada), a producer group with over 30 years of history as a direct-trade partner of Pal System, cultivates persimmons and plums on the border of Wakayama and Nara prefectures. They are committed to continuing environmentally friendly agriculture in the mountainous areas of the Kii Peninsula with the next generation of producers, and are also focusing on processing and selling agricultural products such as their long-selling "Nanko Umeboshi (Direct Trade)."

Their main product, plums, has been affected by reduced yields due to recent abnormal weather conditions, including warm winters. To expand and streamline the production of dried daikon radishes as a main product to replace plums, grant funds were used to purchase equipment and materials for drying facilities. This is a production area where further promotion of regional agricultural product utilization and strengthened collaboration are expected.
