Co-op Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi (Headquarters: Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Representative Director: Kyoyo Aoki) and Naka City (Mayor: Hikaru Sakizaki) concluded a "Collaboration Agreement Regarding National Health Insurance Specific Health Checkup Project" on Thursday, March 26. This is the first time a municipality in the prefecture has formed a partnership with a co-op for a health checkup project. Based on the agreement, participants eligible for health checkups who are enrolled in the Naka City National Health Insurance will receive gifts that can be chosen from items such as rice packs and natural water. Through the collaboration between administration and co-ops, we will promote health management for local residents.
Delivery of Packaged Rice and Other Items After Health Checkup
Following the agreement, Naka City will distribute "Health Checkup Happy Gift" information cards when distributing notices for specific health checkups, which include blood tests and physical measurements. Those who wish to participate can apply after their health checkup using the form enclosed with their results.
The gift will be delivered to the applicant's home by Pal System on behalf of the city. Recipients can choose from items such as box tissues, rice packs, and drinking water, and a course where the recipient can look forward to what they will receive is also available.

The city and Pal System Ibaraki Tochigi have previously concluded a "Collaboration Agreement Regarding Cooperation in Watch Activities" (December 2012) and a "Collaboration Agreement Regarding the Promotion of Child-Rearing Support" (July 2025). By utilizing the co-op's delivery infrastructure, which operates on the same day and time each week within the community, we have been working to protect the safety of the local community and create an environment where children can grow up healthy. With the conclusion of this agreement, we will contribute to the extension of the region's healthy life expectancy.
