paiza Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President & CEO Yasuto Tachi), which operates "paiza," Japan's largest learning, training, job hunting, and career change platform for IT professionals, is launching a new course today, "Vibe Coding Introduction: Claude Code Edition - Let's Make a Side-Scrolling Game," jointly developed with Python VTuber Sapu.

This course uses the "vibe coding" method and offers a curriculum that allows participants to experience the entire process from creating a side-scrolling game with JavaScript to publishing it on the hosting service "Netlify."

Course Overview

Game development, with its character movements, collision detection, and score calculations, has traditionally been an area with a high barrier to entry for programming beginners due to the many things they need to learn. However, with the advent of "Claude Code," a powerful AI development tool that operates autonomously on the terminal, a new development style called "vibe coding" has become possible, where the AI progressively writes code simply by being given general specifications.

In this course, you will work with programming VTuber Sapu to create a JavaScript game using "vibe coding" with "Claude Code" as your partner.

The game you'll create is "Specification Dash! Paiza-kun," a side-scrolling game featuring paiza's corporate character. By providing step-by-step instructions such as "create a platform," "add game over conditions," and "play sound," while rewriting the specification document, you can experience the overwhelming speed and fun of seeing the game rapidly take shape thanks to Claude Code.

Course Features

Experience vibe coding with the buzzworthy AI tool "Claude Code"!

You can experience the cutting-edge development flow of conveying your game ideas to the AI and incrementally generating and modifying JavaScript code while writing specifications in README.

Full-fledged side-scrolling game production with JavaScript

The course thoroughly incorporates essential game development elements such as player (Paiza-kun) controls, enemy character placement, and game over judgment based on time limits.

Adding effects, BGM, and sound effects to enhance the game

You can experience the process of significantly improving the game's quality by incorporating effects for item acquisition, rank judgment upon clearing, as well as BGM, sound effects, and jingles.

Exclusive distribution of paiza original assets & publication on Netlify

Special original assets (like "Paiza-kun" and "specifications") usable within the course will be distributed free of charge to participants. We will also support you in publishing the completed game online immediately using the free hosting service "Netlify" so that friends and people around the world can play it.

Comment from Python VTuber Sapu

I am Sapu, a Python VTuber in charge of the vibe coding course.

In this, our fifth collaboration, we provide an easy-to-understand explanation and demonstration for beginners on the steps from developing a side-scrolling game playable in a web browser using vibe coding to publishing it on the internet.

Game development might sound difficult, but with vibe coding, you can create your own original game even without prior programming experience. This course carefully introduces tips for making games with vibe coding, such as the procedure of organizing specifications in README before having the AI write the code, and how to proceed by gradually adding features starting from a simple game.

The development approach you will learn this time is not limited to side-scrolling games. It can also be applied to creating various other game genres, such as shooting games, puzzle games, and quiz games. Please take this course as an opportunity to challenge yourself to develop your own original game.

About paiza

We operate "paiza," Japan's largest learning, training, job hunting, and career change platform for IT professionals. It's a unique service where users can prove their skills by taking the online programming test "paiza Skill Check" and use those results for career changes and job seeking. As of June 2026, paiza has approximately 980,000 registered users, and over 5,000 companies use it for recruitment. The total number of "paiza Skill Check" attempts has reached 37.3 million (as of June 2026).

"paiza転職" is a career change service for IT engineers that "visualizes skills" and matches them with companies based on merit. In addition, we offer "paiza Shinsotsu," a job-seeking service for students, "EN:TRY," a career change service for inexperienced and junior engineers, and "paizaラーニング," a programming learning service directly linked to career changes and job seeking. Many current engineers find new jobs, and there are also many cases where individuals learn with "paizaラーニング," then "visualize their skills" to find new employment.
