Background of the Initiative

This project is based on an agreement signed in April 2025 between Chiba City and the Company, aiming to promote regional attractions through digitalization and create new revenue streams. So far, through the launch of a dedicated website and the sale of animal-themed 3D-NFTs, the initiative has focused on delivering new experiential value using digital technologies. This effort aims to raise awareness among those who have never visited Chiba City Zoological Park, while a portion of NFT sales proceeds will support the zoo’s operations and development.

Born on July 5, 2003, Futa gained nationwide popularity around 2005 for its adorable habit of standing on its hind legs. At 23 years old, Futa is one of the oldest red pandas in Japan and remains a beloved symbol of Chiba City Zoological Park across generations.

1. Production and Sale of the Red Panda 'Futa' 3D-NFT A high-fidelity 3D-NFT of Futa will be produced and released around autumn 2026.
