Pacific Consultants Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Osamu Ohmoto; hereinafter "the Company") will lead a demonstration project in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, as the managing company, bringing together its technical expertise in architecture and facilities.

This project is a demonstration initiative led by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (NEDO) and the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), a government agency overseeing sustainable energy development in Malaysia. The project aims to achieve ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building) status for the SEDA headquarters building located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. This is the first initiative in Malaysia to achieve ZEB status through the renovation of an existing building. In this project, four Japanese companies – Pacific Consultants Co., Ltd., AGC Inc., Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, and Azbil Corporation – will combine their energy-saving technologies and know-how to aim for the achievement of "Nearly ZEB," which reduces primary energy consumption by more than 75%.

Through this project, we aim to promote decarbonization in Malaysia's building sector and establish a leading model case with a view to expansion into the ASEAN region.
