Oticon, a flagship brand of Demant with over 120 years of history (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President: Toru Saito, hereinafter referred to as Oticon), held a press conference on March 24 (Tuesday), the launch date, to announce the domestic launch of its advanced hearing aid, "Oticon Zeal™" (hereinafter referred to as Zeal). This product belongs to a new category of hearing aids called "NXT" and achieves miniaturization of the main unit using advanced Encapsulation Technology. It is expected to contribute to the elimination of hearing aid stigma, and consequently, to the improvement of hearing care and the resolution of issues related to hearing aid adoption rates in Japan. At the venue, opportunities to try out "Zeal" were provided, and participating media listened to simultaneous interpretation audio via next-generation wireless communication "Auracast™". The operation was smooth, and reporters who actually wore the device provided positive feedback such as "natural fit with no discomfort" and "a very interesting experience.".
On the day, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Japan, our company's President, and others took the stage to introduce the product's features and development background. A 30-second promotional video produced in Japan was also screened at the venue, showcasing the features of "Zeal" and the intended lifestyle.

First, H.E. Mr. Lars-Høgh Mikkelsen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Japan, took the stage.
