The Aobato-kai, a group composed of young members of the Osaka Real Estate Association (Location: Chuo-ku, Osaka; Chairman: Kiyotaka Yamamoto; hereinafter referred to as "Osaka Takken"), will conduct blood donation and bone marrow donor registration promotion activities at seven locations throughout Osaka Prefecture on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:30. This year, we will again receive cooperation for announcements and other support from Mr. Atsushi Katahira, a weather forecaster and our Blood Donation Promotion Ambassador.

[Blood products have a short shelf life—as little as 6 days after collection; the need for continuous promotional activities]

Even with today's advanced medical technology, it is impossible to create blood artificially. Furthermore, because blood cannot be stored for long periods (the shelf life of blood products is 6 days after collection for platelet products and 28 days after collection for red blood cell products), it is necessary to constantly secure a supply of fresh blood.

Osaka Takken, which works to contribute to the healthy lives of local residents through real estate, engages in social contribution activities in cooperation with a wide variety of government agencies and companies. As part of these efforts, the association has been conducting large-scale blood donation and bone marrow donor registration drives in Osaka Prefecture since 2023.

With a cumulative total of 1,289 blood donors to date, we are aiming to reach a cumulative total of 1,700 participants with this event.
