Cloud ERP "ZAC" Launches "Location Stamp (GPS Stamp) Function" to Support Labor Management for Diverse Work Styles

This new function allows employees to capture and record their location information when clocking in and out.

This feature enables objective confirmation of the location at the time of clocking in and out, even for employees working outside the office, such as those engaged in telework, client site assignments, direct travel to/from client sites, or field work. It supports understanding the actual working conditions for diverse work styles, streamlining attendance approval processes, and strengthening compliance.

Background for the Provision of the "Location Stamp (GPS Stamp) Function"

ZAC is a cloud ERP specialized for project-based businesses that operate on a project, contract, or job unit basis. It is primarily implemented by companies that require income and expenditure management and man-hour management per project, such as those in the IT, advertising/creative, consulting, video production, event/display, and construction-related service industries.

In these industries, it is common for employees to start or end their work at locations other than the office, including telework, client site assignments, direct travel to/from client sites, and field work. For example, in the IT and consulting industries, employees may work from home or at client sites, while in video production, event/display, and construction-related services, work may take place at filming locations, event venues, or construction sites.

Against the backdrop of strengthened working hour regulations in April 2024, companies' HR and labor management personnel are increasingly seeking mechanisms to objectively verify where employees clocked in and out, while ensuring the accuracy of attendance information, for these diverse working styles.

The "Location Stamp (GPS Stamp) Function" is a feature within ZAC's time card function that captures location information when an employee clocks in or out, and records it along with the stamp data.

The recorded location information can be viewed on the employee's daily report input screen. Managers and labor personnel can also check daily stamping locations through the time card record list screen or via daily report emails sent to approvers.

This makes it easier to grasp the location of clock-ins and clock-outs as objective data, even for work performed outside the office, such as telework, client site assignments, direct travel to/from client sites, and field work.
