[Cross Hotel Sapporo] Immersive Event 'CROSS CINEMA DISCOVERY' Where 'Cinema' Meets 'Cuisine' Announces 2026 Screening Schedule

Cross Hotel Sapporo (Location: Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido / General Manager: Naoya Mikami) has announced the screening schedule for its restaurant event series, 'CROSS CINEMA DISCOVERY,' which will be held four times (two days per session) between May 22, 2026, and February 26, 2027.

'CROSS CINEMA DISCOVERY' is an experiential event held at the hotel's restaurant, 'hache,' where films are screened alongside dishes that resonate with the world of the featured work. It creates an immersive experience where cinema and cuisine intersect in a restaurant setting—a space that is neither home nor a traditional movie theater.

This project is conducted in collaboration with 'Kinomado,' a mobile cinema based in Sapporo that hosts screenings in diverse locations such as rooftops, campsites, and temples. Centered on films curated by Kinomado, the restaurant's chefs interpret the stories, historical backgrounds, character emotions, and messages within the films to create a special one-plate dining experience. The selected films focus on art-house cinema reflecting various cultures, as well as popular works gaining renewed attention through recent revivals. This is not merely a reproduction of motifs, but a special limited-time dinner that allows guests to taste the very essence of the film's world.

Since its inception in 2018, this popular series has been held 15 times, with each session limited to 30 seats. It is highly supported by enthusiastic fans, often selling out immediately after reservations open. In fiscal year 2026, four films will be screened throughout the year, one every four months.

Under the concept of 'NEW DISCOVERIES, NEW CONNECTIONS,' Cross Hotel Sapporo offers encounters with 'exciting Hokkaido quality.'
