Oriental Hotel Hiroshima to Offer Summer-Limited “Garden Tea Party Afternoon Tea”

Oriental Hotel Hiroshima will offer its summer-limited “Garden Tea Party Afternoon Tea” at the 1F Lobby Lounge from July 1 to August 31, 2026. The theme is “a tea party in a summer garden.” The afternoon tea features colorful summer fruits such as mango, passion fruit, and cassis, with an emphasis on a refreshing finish and light texture suitable for the hot season. The three-tier tea set includes nature-inspired items such as bee-shaped honey chocolate and matcha ice cream modeled after a moss ball. The top tier features five desserts, including cassis cheesecake, honey chocolate, passion fruit pâte de fruit, mango and pistachio brick pastry roll, and strawberry chocolate shortcake. The middle tier includes matcha moss-ball ice cream, lemon financier, scones, pineapple and blueberry jam, and clotted cream. The savory lower tier includes chilled corn soup, a roast beef mini burger, smoked salmon with mozzarella and tomato, summer vegetable terrine with Spanish prosciutto, and crudités including carrot rapée, Akitsu potato écrasé, marinated red cabbage, broccoli écrasé, and pickled radish. The service is available from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with last reception at 2:00 p.m. Advance reservation is required at least three days before the visit. The price is 4,000 yen per person, including tax and service charge, with one drink included. Alcoholic drink options such as sparkling wine, bottled beer, red or white wine by the glass, and non-alcoholic bottled beer are available for an additional 1,000 yen. Menu items may change depending on ingredient availability. The pastries are led by pastry chef Kaori Mita, who joined Oriental Hotel Hiroshima in 2012 and became chef pâtissier in 2024.
