(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoya Sato; Abbreviation: Oricon) announced on July 1, 2026 (Wednesday) at 2:00 PM the usage data collected from a total of 7,545 individuals surveyed for the 2026 "NISA (Securities Company/Bank)" satisfaction ranking, conducted by its group company oricon ME, Inc. based on actual service users from a third-party perspective. The results are as follows:

For both securities companies and banks, "effective use of available funds" was the most common reason, exceeding 60%.
2) Reason for opening current NISA account
For securities companies, "low fees" was the most common reason, while for banks, "already using other services" was the most common.
3) Investment method for growth investment枠 (Growth Investment Quota)
For securities companies, "both lump-sum and installment investments" was the most common, while for banks, "installment investment only" was the most common.
4) Average monthly investment funds
For installment investments, "10,000 yen or more, less than 30,000 yen" was the most common, and for lump-sum investments, "100,000 yen or more" was the most common.

1) Reason for starting NISA investment
For both securities companies and banks, "effective use of available funds" was the most common reason, exceeding 60%.
When asked about the "reason for starting investment (multiple responses allowed)", both securities companies and banks had "to effectively utilize available funds" as the most common answer, with 65.6% for securities companies and 64.9% for banks.
Following this, "to save for retirement" was cited by over 50%, and "to save for a more comfortable life" by over 30%, indicating that utilizing available funds and preparing for the future are the main reasons for starting NISA investments.
Additionally, for banks, "recommended by a financial institution's representative" accounted for 19.8%, a significantly higher percentage compared to 5.5% for securities companies. Some bank users commented, "I was interested in NISA, but I started after consulting with my current representative (40s, female)" and "I started NISA because a bank employee recommended it in person and helped me with the registration process (50s, female)", suggesting that guidance and proposals from financial institutions also serve as a trigger for starting investments.

2) Reason for opening current NISA account
For securities companies, "low fees" was the most common reason, while for banks, "already using other services" was the most common.
When asked about the "reason for opening the currently used NISA account (multiple responses allowed)", "low fees" was the most common reason for securities companies at 33.9%, followed by "easy account opening" at 26.4%. Furthermore, "generous point program" was also cited by 16.7%, indicating that cost-effectiveness and low barriers to entry are key factors for opening accounts with securities companies.
On the other hand, for banks, "already using other services" was the highest at 46.4%, followed by "high corporate reliability" at 31.8%. "Low fees," which was the top reason for securities companies, accounted for only 7.4% for banks, suggesting that familiarity with the financial institution and trust are the reasons for opening NISA accounts with banks.

3) Investment method for growth investment枠 (Growth Investment Quota)
For securities companies, "both lump-sum and installment investments" was the most common, while for banks, "installment investment only" was the most common.
Among the 5,615 individuals currently using their NISA accounts for the growth investment quota, when asked about the "method of investing in the growth investment quota (single response)", "investing through both installment and lump-sum investments" was the most common for securities companies at 37.1%, with "investing through lump-sum investments only" being nearly as high at 36.8%.
Meanwhile, for banks, "investing through installment investment only" was the highest at 42.8%.
While securities companies showed a mix of lump-sum and installment investments, banks had a higher proportion of users investing only through installments, indicating a difference in how the growth investment quota is utilized.

4) Average monthly investment funds
For installment investments, "10,000 yen or more, less than 30,000 yen" was the most common, and for lump-sum investments, "100,000 yen or more" was the most common.
When asked about the "average monthly investment funds in the currently used NISA account (single response)", both securities companies and banks had "10,000 yen or more, less than 30,000 yen" as the most common amount for both the "Tsumitate Investment Quota" and "installment investments within the Growth Investment Quota".
Furthermore, for banks, the proportion of "10,000 yen or more, less than 30,000 yen" was 32.2% for the "Tsumitate Investment Quota" and 26.4% for "installment investments within the Growth Investment Quota", both exceeding the figures for securities companies.
On the other hand, for "lump-sum investments within the Growth Investment Quota", both securities companies (39.6%) and banks (39.4%) had "100,000 yen or more" as the most common amount, accounting for approximately 40%.
While many people invest relatively small amounts in installment investments, it appears that a significant amount of funds are allocated to lump-sum investments within the Growth Investment Quota.
