Orico Launches Applications for "My Forrent Card," a Digital Card Supporting Credit Card Payments for Rent and Other Expenses

Orient Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shin Umemiya; hereinafter "Orico") will begin accepting applications for the "My Forrent Card" (hereinafter "the Card") on March 30, 2026, which supports credit card payments for rent, management fees, parking fees, guarantee fees, and other related costs (hereinafter "rent, etc.").

This card is a digital card issued exclusively to contract holders of Orico Forrent Insure Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Orico Forrent Insure"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Orico. In addition to daily shopping, it can be used for rent and other housing expenses, allowing customers to consolidate their monthly payments and achieve greater efficiency in financial management.

[Background of the Offering] While cashless payments are becoming more widespread, payments for rent and similar expenses have traditionally relied on bank transfers or direct debits. By providing a service that allows these payments to be made via credit card, we aim to improve convenience for our customers.

[Card Features] 1. Centralized Payment Management The Card supports monthly credit card payments for rent and other expenses, automatically earning points. Furthermore, by consolidating daily shopping and utility bill payments onto this card, customers can streamline their payment management. Accumulated points and usage statements can be viewed through "e-Orico," the web service for Orico members, helping to reduce the burden of household budget management.

2. AI-Driven Credit Screening for Same-Day Use Utilizing proprietary AI-based credit screening, the application process can be completed in as little as 90 seconds. Card information can be viewed via "e-Orico," allowing for immediate use for contactless payments at stores (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Wallet) or for online payments at e-commerce sites. *Please note that instant issuance may not be available if identity verification cannot be completed during the application process or if the applicant does not meet the specified credit criteria.

3. Environmentally Friendly Digital Card This card is a digital card that does not issue a physical plastic card. By reducing resource consumption and CO2 emissions associated with card manufacturing and delivery, we are realizing the provision of sustainable services with a lower environmental impact.
