Orbital Lasers Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tadanori Fukushima; hereinafter “our company”), a developer of innovative space optical technology centered on space-use lasers, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Infinite Orbits S.A.S. (Headquarters: Toulouse, France; hereinafter “Infinite Orbits”), an in-orbit service provider, regarding the exploration of collaboration for the realization of in-orbit services utilizing laser technology for detumbling (rotation stabilization) of space debris and other objects.

Through this partnership, by integrating our company's laser technology into Infinite Orbits' service vehicles, we will proceed with discussions from technical, business, and regulatory aspects towards collaboration in in-orbit services, including debris removal, targeting both Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geostationary Orbit (GEO).

Specifically, we will advance initiatives such as collaboration in market development for in-orbit services, joint proposals for government projects in both countries, consideration of operational concepts, and technical coordination for system integration. Through these efforts, we aim to collaborate on in-orbit services in the future, including deorbiting defunct satellites safely, and actively removing uncooperative satellites and space debris that have gone out of control.
