Tokyo — April 6, 2026

Oracle Japan Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Director, Executive Officer and President: Tomomitsu Misawa) announced today that Actio Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Naoto Konuma), the largest company in the construction equipment rental industry, has migrated its core system supporting construction equipment rental operations to "Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)" and commenced production operations.

Against the backdrop of an ongoing labor shortage in the construction industry and expanding demand for construction equipment rental, Actio Holdings has placed digital transformation at the center of its management strategy, actively promoting the use of advanced technologies, and aims to expand as a platform for construction equipment rental.

In this project, the core system that centrally manages construction equipment inventory, inbound/outbound logistics, sales/billing information, operational status, and maintenance information was migrated from an on-premise environment and other cloud environments to OCI. As a mission-critical system shared by 15 domestic construction equipment rental operating companies within the Actio Group, high availability, security, and scalability were required. In conjunction, a DR (Disaster Recovery) site utilizing the "Oracle Cloud" Singapore region was also constructed with the aim of strengthening business continuity measures against natural disasters and cyber threats.

For this system infrastructure, "Oracle Exadata Database Service," "Oracle Cloud VMware Solution," and "Oracle Database Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service" were adopted. This has enabled the construction of a robust IT infrastructure that can restore data to its state immediately before damage in the event of system failure or disaster, and can continue equipment supply through the core system even during widespread disasters if an internet connection is available.

In the conventional disaster recovery environment, there were challenges in availability in terms of performance and switchover time, but with the adoption of OCI, the DR switchover time has been significantly reduced from several days to several hours. Furthermore, by utilizing "Oracle Database Zero Data Loss Autonomous Recovery Service," the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) has been shortened from daily to the latest state, greatly improving business continuity. The migration was completed without any disruptions affecting users and is currently operating stably. In addition, the time for night batch processing, which requires intensive computing power, has also been shortened.

Actio Holdings highly evaluates OCI's high-performance and cost-efficient infrastructure.
