Optex Launches Outdoor Intrusion Detection Sensor 'TXI Series'

Optex Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, Japan; President and CEO: Kazuo Ikeda; hereinafter 'Optex') will begin sales of the outdoor high-mount security sensor 'TXI Series' (hereinafter 'the product') in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region starting June 15, 2026.

The product is an outdoor intrusion detection sensor that achieves high human detection performance while significantly reducing false alarms caused by small animals or swaying vegetation, thanks to the patent-pending detection technology 'Triple AND Logic'. Its palm-sized compact design blends naturally with the exterior of homes and facilities.

Despite its compact size, it creates a wide detection area.

Development Background

In the EMEA region, there is strong demand for high-mount 'curtain sensors' used to monitor along walls and near windows in residential and commercial buildings. In these markets, compact size and high design quality are highly valued. However, challenges have included false alarms from small animals or moving plants, insufficient human detection performance, installation limitations, and poor workability during setup.

To address long-standing market needs and challenges in this category, Optex is launching the new 'TXI Series' to improve customer satisfaction and expand market reach.

1. High Reliability with 'Triple AND Logic' (Patent Pending)

By constructing an optimized detection zone using the proprietary 'Triple AND Logic', the product maintains Optex's proven human detection performance while achieving excellent pet immunity. This significantly suppresses false alarms caused by small animals.

2. Wide Mounting Height Range and Flexible Area Adjustment

Designed to form an optimal detection zone based on mounting height, the sensor can be installed between 2.2m and 4.0m. This wide height compatibility greatly simplifies on-site adjustment work. Detection distance can also be flexibly adjusted using masking tools.

The included bracket allows easy installation along walls or in forward-facing positions.

With the optional TXI-BKT, installation on ceilings and fine angle adjustments are possible, enabling greater installation flexibility.

3. Refined, Palm-Sized Design

Compared to Optex's existing outdoor product HX-40※, the TXI Series is significantly smaller, achieving a compact enclosure that blends naturally with the appearance of homes and commercial facilities. It uses UV-resistant resin and meets IP55 waterproof and dustproof standards, ensuring long-term outdoor use.
