Share Cycle Ports to Be Significantly Expanded in Public Housing Complexes!

The Kanagawa Prefecture Housing Supply Corporation (Location: Naka-ku, Yokohama City, hereinafter referred to as "the Corporation"), OpenStreet Co., Ltd. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo), and DOCOMO BIKE SHARE Co., Ltd. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo) will significantly expand the installation of share cycle ports*1 (hereinafter referred to as "ports") within the housing complexes owned by the Corporation, with phased operation commencing from April 2026. *1 A dedicated bicycle parking area where share cycles can be rented and returned. ■Background For the Corporation's housing complexes located a significant distance from the nearest station, improving residents' mobility convenience, addressing abandoned bicycles within the premises, and optimizing the bicycle parking environment have been ongoing challenges. Meanwhile, OpenStreet Co., Ltd. contributes to improving regional connectivity, reducing environmental impact, and fostering sustainable town development by operating its share cycle service "HELLO CYCLING," while DOCOMO BIKE SHARE Co., Ltd. operates services such as "baybike" and "Kawasaki Bike Share."

In fiscal year 2023, the Corporation installed ports by OpenStreet Co., Ltd. within the premises of Flor Yokohama Mitsuzawa (Kanagawa-ku, Yokohama City), which has been well-received by residents and nearby individuals. Based on this background, we aim to build a more convenient share cycle environment by leveraging the service networks and expertise of each company. ■Details The three parties – the Corporation, OpenStreet Co., Ltd., and DOCOMO BIKE SHARE Co., Ltd. – will proceed with the installation of ports in the Corporation's housing complexes during fiscal year 2025, expanding to 16 new complexes. Phased operation will begin in April 2026, aiming to improve the mobility and connectivity of residents and local community members, while also working to reduce environmental impact. ■List of Housing Complexes for Installation Fiscal Year 2023: Installed in 1 complex in the Yokohama area (Flor Yokohama Mitsuzawa) ↓ Fiscal Year 2026: Operation to commence in 16 new complexes (9 in Yokohama area, 6 in Kawasaki area, 1 other)
