We are pleased to announce that the proposal 'Research and Development on Breaking Thermal Constraints and Improving Performance of Small SAR Satellites using Diamond Semiconductors' by Ookuma Diamond Device Co., Ltd. This technology development project aims to improve the degree of freedom in satellite thermal design and observation performance by utilizing our diamond semiconductor technology to address the thermal constraints caused by transmission power amplifiers (PA), a critical issue in small SAR satellites. Moving forward, we will promote the research and development of diamond semiconductor technology with an eye toward its application in the space sector.

To date, the Company has been engaged in the research and development of diamond semiconductor devices that operate even in high-radiation and high-temperature environments, backed by the decommissioning response at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Based on the severe environment resistance technology cultivated there, we will challenge the solution of thermal issues faced by the space sector.

In addition, Space BD Inc., which develops comprehensive services in the space industry, will participate in this project as a cooperating organization and support the promotion of the project while looking ahead to its utilization in the space sector.
