Background of Hiroshima Branch Renovation
The branch operates with two main divisions: the Steel Business Division, which handles steel sales, and the Construction Business Division, which undertakes construction contracts. Traditionally, the branch primarily focused on warehouse functions and sales. This time, in addition to renovating the aging warehouse, laying concrete floors, and reinforcing the roof, the office building was also refurbished. This aimed to strengthen the warehouse's foundation to accommodate processing equipment and improve the working environment for employees. Furthermore, by newly introducing 8 processing machines for sections and steel plates into the warehouse, the company has internalized previously outsourced processing steps, thereby reducing costs and shortening delivery times.

Future Initiatives at the Hiroshima Branch
From April, the Hiroshima branch has been reorganized as a core branch overseeing sales offices and group companies in the Chugoku-Shikoku area, with the company's business area reclassified from the traditional "Kyushu-Chugoku area" to the "Chugoku-Shikoku area." Moving forward, the branch will collaborate with the Fukuyama Sales Office (Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture), which possesses large warehouses and processing facilities, to establish an integrated supply system across the entire Chugoku-Shikoku area. Additionally, the company plans to strengthen its approach to existing customers, such as architectural and can manufacturing businesses, as well as automotive and shipbuilding related businesses, which are key industries in the Chugoku region.
Comment from Takumi Yamanaka, Hiroshima Branch Manager
"With this renovation of the Hiroshima branch, we have established a system capable of sales and processing anywhere, covering the entire Setouchi area as a 'large-scale inventory hub.' With the introduction of processing equipment, we will create synergy with the Steel Business Division to further secure projects for the Construction Business Division. Under our corporate philosophy of 'contributing to nation-building, town-building, and manufacturing,' we aim to continue contributing to the regional revitalization of the Chugoku-Shikoku area."
