Onoken Co., Ltd. Holds 2026 Entrance Ceremony

This year, we welcomed 30 new employees. For approximately two weeks, the new employees will undergo a training program to deepen their understanding of manners as working professionals, financial knowledge, the products we handle, and the company, after which they will be assigned to their respective branches and begin OJT (On-the-Job Training).
After the entrance ceremony, in addition to explanations of our company's history, which is entering its 78th year, and future prospects such as "Long-Term Vision 2035" by Representative Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer Tetsuji Ono, a tour of our products and processing machines was also conducted at the head office warehouse.

## Speech by President and Representative Director Go Ono
"As you become a member of the Onoken family starting today, there are two things I want you to remember.
First, the essence of our work is not merely handling steel, but contributing to Japan's 'nation-building, town-building, and manufacturing.' I want you to be proud of this and be able to explain it to your family and friends. This is Onoken's raison d'être and our most important origin.
Second is the promise as an Onoken colleague: 'Atsumaru Chikara' (Gathering Strength). This phrase itself has meaning, signifying that we will contribute to society by working together with our peers, seniors, and group companies. Furthermore, each initial has meaning: 'Cheerful, Energetic, Positive' ('A-tsu-ma-ru'); 'Enjoy work with endless passion'; 'Protect health and safety first'; 'Build trust by following rules'; 'Enjoy challenges and changes'; 'Work that earns gratitude, never forgetting 'thank you''; and 'Choose the path of growth over the easy way.' We will embody these two principles during our training period and walk together as colleagues starting today."

"Today, I am deeply honored to stand at the starting line of my professional career as a member of Onoken Co., Ltd. While we new employees come from diverse academic backgrounds and experiences, we have gathered here today with the shared desire to work towards the purpose of 'contributing to nation-building, town-building, and manufacturing.'
In my student days, I was part of the soccer club and learned the importance of teamwork. I intend to leverage this experience to build strong relationships with everyone in the company and with our customers. Although I am still uncertain about many things and feel some anxiety, I am committed to working hard under the guidance of my seniors to become a valuable contributor to the company as soon as possible.
As a first step, I will approach the new employee training program, which begins today, with a strong sense of responsibility as a working professional and a determined mindset."
