ONODERA USER RUN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Jun Kato; hereinafter "OUR"), which operates talent education programs for the Specified Skilled Worker category across Asian countries, as well as introduction, living support, and settlement assistance services for these workers in Japan, participated in the 16th Social Business Day—an international conference hosted by Dr. Muhammad Yunus (Yunus Centre), Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and global authority on social business—on June 29, 2026.

The 'Social Business Day' is a global-scale international conference annually organized by the Yunus Centre to explore and share new pathways toward a sustainable and humanitarian future. The 16th edition was held near Dhaka, Bangladesh, bringing together entrepreneurs, global leaders, scholars, policymakers, innovators, and youth from around the world.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the founding of Grameen Bank and the 20th anniversary of Dr. Yunus and Grameen Bank receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, this year’s event featured multifaceted discussions on the role of social business in addressing global challenges such as economic inequality, climate change, and conflict.

OUR Straight-Through® Recognized as an Advanced Global Role Model

OUR’s participation in this conference signifies that its unique business model—'OUR Straight-Through®'—which provides end-to-end support from education to job placement and settlement across Asian countries, has been highly recognized as an advanced global role model for social business, as advocated by Dr. Yunus (sustainable economic activities that solve social issues).

Presentation by OUR President & CEO Jun Kato

In the context of shifting global demographics, OUR’s initiatives simultaneously address Japan’s severe labor shortage and the need for quality education and employment opportunities for youth in Asia—precisely embodying the 'human-centered economic model' that the conference aims to promote.

OUR’s ability to seamlessly connect educational equity in developing countries with the long-term success (settlement) of foreign workers in Japan has drawn significant attention from global leaders and social entrepreneurs both domestically and internationally, establishing a strong presence as a model for sustainable international human resource collaboration.

Commitment to Dr. Yunus’s 'Three Zeros'

During the presentation, OUR President & CEO Jun Kato explained the company’s proprietary business framework (OUR Straight-Through®), which fully integrates talent recruitment in local regions, free education, employment in Japan, and post-arrival living and settlement support—all managed in-house. He emphasized how this sustainable business model—rather than relying on temporary, donation-based aid—directly contributes to solving social issues by unlocking youth potential and promoting economic independence. He also strongly declared OUR’s commitment to advancing Dr. Yunus’s 'Three Zeros'—'Zero Poverty,' 'Zero Unemployment,' and 'Zero Net CO2 Emissions'—through initiatives such as achieving equal access to education and realizing a globally inclusive 'coexistence society' across borders.

Connection Between OUR and Dr. Yunus

OUR and Dr. Yunus held an information exchange meeting (dialogue) in Japan this past March. The discussion was highly constructive, focusing on global approaches to solving social issues and empowering youth in local communities, including Bangladesh.

This meeting sparked significant interest and recognition in OUR’s social business aspects—its ability to sustainably address challenges through business—leading to the invitation to speak at the 16th Social Business Day.

Through this event, OUR reaffirmed that its initiatives are directly linked to solving global social challenges.

Moving forward, OUR will continue to empower ambitious youth from Asia toward economic independence and strive to realize a 'poverty-free society' and a 'coexistence model' through sustainable social business.
