ONODERA USER RUN Co., Ltd. This time, we held a dialogue with Dr. Muhammad Yunus, founder of unsecured microcredit for the poor and a world authority on social business, about the value that OUR's initiatives can create in international society. During the discussion, positive exchanges of opinions took place regarding the potential utilization of OUR's business scheme for the planned opening of new educational bases in Bangladesh and support for the independence of local youth.

Sustainably solving social issues through "business"

OUR has, until now, provided free education to young people in various Asian countries, enabling them to take the first step towards their dreams regardless of their economic background, and supported their self-realization through employment in Japan.

OUR's business scheme, which provides one-stop, in-house services from recruiting talent locally overseas, free education, employment in Japan, to post-entry living and settlement support, is not temporary assistance reliant on donations. Instead, it has a strong aspect as a "social business" that sustainably solves social issues such as poverty, environmental problems, and aging through business.

Challenging the "Three Zeros" to open up the future for youth

Dr. Yunus's proposed "Three Zeros" — "Zero Poverty," "Zero Unemployment," and "Zero Net Carbon Emission" — represent a new economic model aimed at a sustainable society.

To contribute to the realization of this new economic model, OUR continues to undertake the following challenges:

・Realizing "equality of educational opportunity" through free education

We are developing an educational environment to maximize the potential of ambitious young people in Asia and building a sustainable business model for free education to support it.

・Realizing an "inclusive society" on an international scale across borders

By enabling young people from Asia to thrive in Japan, we aim to create a positive cycle not only for their economic independence but also for both their home countries in Asia and Japan.

・Fostering "youth entrepreneurship"

We are building the "OUR Straight Through" scheme to cultivate human resources who will leverage their work and life experiences in Japan to become leaders in Japan, their home countries, and international society in the future.

Mayor Masahiro Hashimoto of Sakai Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, who is participating in the "Four-Party Collaboration Project" (public-private partnership) for the opening of OUR BLOOMING ACADEMY Marikina, also attended the information exchange meeting, where discussions focused on "social business" for regional revitalization.

Through this information exchange meeting, we reconfirmed that OUR's efforts directly contribute to solving social issues on an Asian and even global scale.

OUR will continue to promote the economic independence of ambitious young people, enrich their lives, and strive to realize an "inclusive model" that walks hand-in-hand with Japanese society.
