New 'Ice x Play x Food' Experience: Ice Festival to be Held at Akabane Baka Matsuri

Onoda Shoten Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Wataru Onoda) will hold the 'TOKYO Chohyo Fes in Akabane Baka Matsuri,' an experiential event centered on ice, for the first time over two days, Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, 2026, within the 'Akabane Baka Matsuri' held at Akabane Park in Kita Ward, Tokyo.

In collaboration with the 68th Akabane Baka Matsuri, the largest and most historic event in Kita Ward, we will offer a 'chilly' experience that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

**An Experiential Event to Enjoy the Charms of Ice with All Five Senses**
TOKYO Chohyo Fes 2026 is an urban festival offering 'see, touch, and taste' experiences themed around 'ice.' By holding it within the Akabane Baka Matsuri, a major local event, we aim to create new excitement and enhance visitor experience.

This event is also an initiative to revive the 'Junpyo Matsuri,' which was held by ice industry professionals until 2013, in a new form. We aim to revitalize the ice industry and broadly disseminate the appeal of ice manufacturing and the potential of ice.

Ice is a material that brings coolness and smiles to people in various forms, not limited to culinary uses, but also in event production, art, and space design. This event offers numerous hands-on contents primarily for families.

**Venue Composed of Paid and Free Areas**
The venue is divided into paid and free areas, allowing visitors to enjoy it freely according to their purpose.

**■ Paid Area (Experiential Content)**
* Snow Play Area / Snow Slide
* 'Toy Ice' experience where toys are retrieved from ice
* Price: Children 500 yen / Adults 300 yen
* Operation: 45-minute rotation system (40 people per session, 7 sessions in total)

This area will be implemented in cooperation with Ononbar Co., Ltd. (utilization of unused land / event planning). By creating a snow play space using recycled ice from skating rinks, it is a meaningful initiative from the perspective of effective resource utilization. As an environmentally conscious event, we will promote sustainable initiatives from the perspective of SDGs.

* Popular shaved ice shops will set up stalls with the cooperation of Ryusuke Koike, organizer of 'Kakigori Collection'!
