Chiba Prefecture will host the 'BOSO Surfing Meeting 2026' centered on the Boso Peninsula region, as a legacy of the Tokyo 2020 Games, aiming to increase the number of people enjoying surfing in the prefecture and to promote interaction between participants and local communities, as well as regional revitalization centered on sports.
Targeting families and young people from urban areas inside and outside the prefecture who are new to surfing, this experiential event offers not only surfing experiences but also Boso regional cuisine, exchanges with surfers who have relocated to the area, and ocean-themed workshops.
This year, the number of host municipalities has been expanded to include Nagara Village and Isumi City!
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at noon on Monday, June 22. Enjoy surfing in the ocean-rich Boso region.
