This event, held in the nature-rich central plaza of Azabudai Hills, allows children to freely enjoy play and expression.

"FAMILY GREEN Atelier" is a parent-child program regularly held on the fourth Saturday of every month since April 2025, with Azabudai Hills as its stage. Co-hosted with "Machi no Kenkyujo Inc.," the program focuses on "Japanese calendars and seasonal nature," providing a play space that stimulates children's five senses and enriches their hearts and sensibilities. Approximately 2,000 people have participated to date.
This special Golden Week edition, conceptualized around "Rikka" (the beginning of summer in the Japanese calendar), offers a total of nine diverse programs, more than the regular sessions. The central plaza will feature a colorful "Fabric Maze" symbolizing this event, with fabrics fluttering in the wind, allowing children to visually perceive the direction of the wind. Additionally, as a unique Azabudai Hills initiative, "Cloud Atelier" will appear directly beneath the large roof "The Cloud," where children can observe and express the sky and clouds while sitting on cloud-like balloons. Furthermore, programs like "Sun and Shadow Theater," where children feel sunlight through various materials and enjoy the shadows and shapes projected, and "Green Walk," where they explore the greenery within Azabudai Hills with experts, will provide opportunities for children to interact with nature while playing.
In addition, programs collaborating with stores within Azabudai Hills will be featured. With the cooperation of "Oogaki Shoten," "Words and Rhythm Atelier" will be held, where children explore the mysteries of words and rhythm using phrases from picture books. With the cooperation of "Tokyo Juice," popular for its fresh juices, "Taste Exploration Atelier" will allow children to observe vegetables and fruits with a microscope. These diverse programs, leveraging the Azabudai Hills community, will stimulate children's five senses throughout the entire town.
Moreover, participating stores within Azabudai Hills will offer special children's menus and workshops exclusively for Golden Week. After enjoying playing to their heart's content in the central plaza, families can enjoy gourmet food and shopping inside the facility.

■ Diverse Programs Unique to Azabudai Hills that Stimulate Children's Five Senses
Since April 2025, Azabudai Hills "FAMILY GREEN Atelier," primarily held in the lawn plaza in front of the Azabudai Hills orchard, has seen approximately 900 groups and 2,000 participants. This special Golden Week edition will offer even more diverse programs with the cooperation of commercial tenants and other community members within Azabudai Hills.
◇ Fabric Maze
A giant maze of five-colored organza, matching the colors of the calendar, fluttering in the fresh green breeze. The thin, light fabric spreads across the entire plaza, creating new colors when overlapped and beautifully catching the transmitting sunlight. Children can feel one with nature by running through the gaps in the fabric, reaching out their hands, and experiencing color and wind with their whole bodies, while paying attention to the wind's direction.

◇ Cloud Atelier
An atelier inspired by the sky and clouds will emerge directly beneath "The Cloud," Azabudai Hills' iconic large roof. The design of "The Cloud" is inspired by 'tsurushi-gumo' (hanging clouds), round clouds floating in the sky due to large wind currents. Children can sit, lean, or even lie down on soft, cloud-like balloons, taking a moment to slowly gaze at the sky. They can also participate in a workshop to catch "their own cloud" that fits in their palm. Enjoy time with clouds in your own way.

◇ Sun and Shadow Theater
Experience sunlight through various materials and enjoy the shadows and shapes projected. Feel yourself through screens and lenses, or move your body with performers to create original silhouettes. In this place where light and shadow overlap, and the entire plaza is enveloped in a festive sparkle, let's all share the blessings of the sun with the fresh greenery.

◇ Words and Rhythm Atelier
An atelier to explore the mysteries of words, rhythm, and sound. Using onomatopoeia and rhythms from picture books as clues, let's actually play sounds. During the period, special concerts, workshops, and daily storytelling times will be held. We will deliver a special moment where the rhythm of words and the sensation of the body overlap.
