Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary Special Livery Aircraft 'JAL Jubilee Express' Unveiling Ceremony Held Today!

Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) and Oriental Land Co., Ltd. (OLC) will begin operating the special livery aircraft 'JAL Jubilee Express' (Boeing 737-800) on domestic routes from Thursday, June 4, in commemoration of the Tokyo DisneySea anniversary event 'Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary: Sparkling Jubilee'. Today, June 3, a launch ceremony was held, unveiling the aircraft for the first time. The design features the event's theme color 'Jubilee Blue' as its base, along with Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters in special costumes, as well as DisneySea Aquasphere and Prometheus Volcano, symbols of Tokyo DisneySea. The launch ceremony was held on a stage set up in JAL's hangar at Haneda Airport. JAL Director and Vice President, Group CCO, Norimasa Aoki, and OLC Representative Director, President and COO, Wataru Takahashi, attended and delivered speeches. Mr. Aoki of JAL stated, 'We want to provide a moment that gently lifts our customers' spirits when they see the beautiful and exciting design of the JAL Jubilee Express at the airport, and when it soars through the clouds into the blue sky.' Mr. Takahashi commented, 'We hope that customers boarding this sparkling special livery aircraft will feel the festive spirit of the 25th anniversary from their journey through the sky to the park, and arrive at the park with excitement.' At the end of the ceremony, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, dressed in special costumes for Tokyo DisneySea's 25th anniversary, appeared to celebrate, adding a vibrant touch to the event and heightening expectations for a special air journey unique to the 25th anniversary. The special livery aircraft 'JAL Jubilee Express' is scheduled to operate from Thursday, June 4, until around April 2027.
