Hotel Nikko Osaka to Offer Summer Treat 'Gorotto Fruit Shaved Ice' Starting July 1st

Hotel Nikko Osaka (1-3-3 Nishi-Shinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka, President and General Manager: HOFUKU Hiroaki) will offer 'Gorotto Fruit Shaved Ice' at the tea lounge 'Fountain' (1st floor) from July 1st (Wed) to August 31st (Mon), 2026. The hotel's signature shaved ice made with a whole melon, along with four other varieties featuring large-cut fruits and fluffy shaved ice made with Nagano deep-layer natural water, will be available.

'Marugoto Melon'

We have prepared a lineup of shaved ice, a summer staple at our hotel, that highlights the sweetness and freshness of fruits. This year, in addition to the presence of the fruits, we have paid special attention to the texture and combination of ingredients to ensure that you can enjoy a voluminous serving to the last bite.

'Marugoto Melon,' which uses one whole melon and is offered throughout the period, has been well-received every year with new arrangements. This year, we use Crown Melon, known as the king of fruits. By layering ice, vanilla ice cream, and refreshing mint custard cream on a half melon used as a container, we bring out the rich aroma and refined sweetness of the melon.

In July, we also offer 'Miyazaki Mango' and 'Arakawa Peach.' By combining the freshness of the fruits with ice cream and sauces that complement their rich sweetness, we have created a flavor that allows you to fully enjoy the appeal of the ingredients.

In August, we introduce 'Shine Muscat,' a limited-time offering. This shaved ice features the refreshing sweetness of Shine Muscat as the star, combined with a rich Nagano Purple sauce, allowing you to fully enjoy the charm of grapes. Please see the details below.

'Marugoto Melon' ¥8,000

Using a whole Crown Melon, known for its fragrant and refined sweetness.

Layered with ice, vanilla ice cream, mint custard cream, honey, and dill-marinated melon and crumble, finished with custard sauce, this is a luxurious shaved ice.

'Miyazaki Mango' ¥3,800

Provided Period: July 1st (Wed) ~ July 31st (Fri)

Using Miyazaki Mango, known for its rich aroma and intense sweetness. Layered with cream cheese ice cream, cookies made with the fragrant herb 'Linden,' coconut sauce, and purees of mango and passion fruit, this is a tropical-inspired dish.

'Arakawa Peach' ¥3,800

Provided Period: July 1st (Wed) ~ July 31st (Fri)

Using half a peach from 'Arakawa,' a brand from Wakayama Prefecture.

Combined with refreshing and rich Flormage Blanc ice cream, cookie crumble scented with rose geranium, and parfaits of strawberry and peach, this is an elegant and sophisticated shaved ice that complements the peach.

'Shine Muscat' ¥3,800

Layered with milk ice and tangy-sweet apple compote, topped with cookies scented with elderflower, rich Nagano Purple sauce, and fresh Shine Muscat, this is a dish that allows you to fully enjoy the charm of grapes.
