Hotel Okura Fukuoka (Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City / President and CEO Ryota Sugiyama) will offer various events to celebrate the arrival of spring, including cherry blossom-themed floral decorations and limited-time menus, from Friday, March 27 to Thursday, April 30, 2026.
During this period, the lobby will feature a cherry blossom art display measuring approximately 6 meters in height and 5 meters in width. This art flower display was created for the "Fukuoka Flower Show 2026" held in Fukuoka City. During the event, it was installed at the main entrance of Hakataza, a theater adjacent to Hotel Okura Fukuoka, bringing an early taste of spring to many visitors. From Friday, March 27, the display will be moved to the hotel lobby, where guests can continue to enjoy the full bloom of cherry blossoms. This art flower was crafted by Hakataza's stage prop staff, utilizing techniques cultivated in stage set production. The power and expressiveness unique to stage art, which cannot usually be seen up close, are also highlights. As a special collaboration connecting Fukuoka's culture and seasonal beauty, guests can enjoy a more vibrant and unique space.
Furthermore, a "Cherry Blossom Walking Map" introducing famous cherry blossom spots around the hotel will be available. It lists notable locations within walking distance, such as Reisen Park and Tenjin Central Park, allowing guests to enjoy a unique Fukuoka spring experience both inside and outside the hotel.
Limited-Time Cherry Blossom Themed Menu Appears
The restaurant will offer menus that allow guests to savor the flavors of spring.
The "Spring Awakening Cherry Blossom and Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set" features sweets such as strawberry macarons, mousse, shortcake, cherry blossom mousse, and strawberry jelly. For savories, seasonal items like cherry blossom cream gyuhi wraps, strawberry and camembert cheese sandwiches, roasted new potatoes, and spring cabbage and clam peperoncino-style dishes are prepared. Guests can enjoy these with various drinks, including aromatic teas.
In addition, a new cocktail, "Sakura Frozen," will be introduced, harmonizing the elegant aroma of cherry blossom liqueur, the mellow richness of yogurt liqueur, and the tartness of lime. The pale pink frozen drink will add a touch of glamour to spring bar evenings.
Furthermore, takeout sweets will be available, including "Sakura Anpan," a sweet bun filled with red bean paste kneaded with salted cherry leaves, offering a subtle salty taste and aroma, and the cake "SAKURA," which combines a sablé dough kneaded with cherry leaves, cherry puree, and a mousse containing coarse red bean paste.
