Since its opening in 2006, Hotel JAL City Naha has welcomed many guests as a hotel located on Naha's Kokusai Dori. It will celebrate its 20th anniversary on June 20, 2026. To commemorate this milestone year, special dinner and accommodation plans have been prepared for June, the anniversary month.
The "20th Anniversary Course" offered at Restaurant Bon Appetit is a special dinner course that fuses local Okinawan ingredients with French cuisine. Under the supervision of Executive Chef Naohiko Kyan, the chefs have put their creativity into each dish to allow guests to savor Okinawan-style French cuisine unique to this hotel. Among them, "Vichyssoise and Irabu Soup Jelly: Fusion of French and Ryukyu, reminiscent of Parisoir" is a dish that combines vichyssoise, a cold potato soup, with "irabu," smoked sea snake that has been popular in Okinawa since ancient times. For the main dish, "Pan-seared Beef Fillet," side dishes such as dengaku-style taro (ta-nmu), a traditional Okinawan ingredient, and sautéed island shallots are prepared, and the rich red wine sauce is flavored with rum from Minamidaito Island. Please enjoy this special limited-time gourmet experience that brings out the charm of Okinawan ingredients based on French techniques.

【Supervision of 20th Anniversary Course】Naohiko Kyan
Born in Yonabaru Town, Okinawa Prefecture. In 2006, he was appointed head chef of Restaurant Bon Appetit with the opening of Hotel JAL City Naha. In 2008, he became the Executive Chef of Hotel JAL City Naha. In 2023, he was appointed chairman of the Okinawa Prefectural Headquarters of the All Japan Chefs Association. Currently, he is engaged in activities inside and outside Okinawa Prefecture with the themes of nurturing young chefs and improving cooking techniques. As one of the leading chefs representing Okinawa, a tourism-oriented prefecture, he continues to provide inspiring dishes to many guests.
