Okumura Printing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Okumura Printing"), headquartered in Kita-ku, Tokyo, will participate as a cooperating company in the "Metropolitan Area Disaster Prevention Fair 2026 Spring," to be held from April 3, 2026 (Friday) at the "Tokyo City i Performance Zone" on the first basement floor of KITTE, directly connected to Tokyo Station.

At this event, we will introduce our latest initiatives applying the printing and processing technologies cultivated since our founding in 1947 to the disaster prevention field, focusing on our main product, the origami tableware "beak" (hereinafter, beak).

## Background of Exhibition: 10 Years Since Kumamoto Earthquakes, "Everyday Disaster Preparedness" Now Required

2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the Kumamoto Earthquakes and the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake. As the projected damage from a direct hit earthquake in the capital becomes more realistic, Okumura Printing proposes "disaster preparedness that is not special, but blends into daily life and reliably functions in an emergency."

## Exhibition and Introduction Contents

At this fair, in addition to the existing exhibition and sales of beak, we will propose a new form of disaster prevention that integrates digital technology with printing technology.

### 1. beak

Thin and compact, beak is paper tableware designed to fit into children's randoseru (school bags), with a thickness of only about 0.4mm. Normally, it can be stored in the gaps of bags or emergency kits, and in an emergency, it can stand on its own by simply folding it. We will also exhibit "beakx," a new product that transforms retort food packaging into tableware.

Check out the wide variety of beak designs at the venue!

### 2. NFC Tag Emergency Card (LinkStage Product)

This is a reference exhibit product that combines digital and paper, utilizing NFC technology to notify the owner's information and emergency contacts by simply holding a smartphone over it.

### 3. Stockpile Collection Card Game

This is a reference exhibit product designed to allow children to experience disaster prevention efforts through a simple card game.
