[From Kawaguchi, Shakespeare to the World.] Kantaro Oizumi, Representative of Oizumi Kojo, Appointed Co-Producer of Theatre Company Kakushinhan's Shakespeare Work. Full-Scale Promotion of Kawaguchi-Born Cultural Co-Creation Project.

(Headquarters: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Representative Director: Ryunosuke Kimura) announce that Kantaro Oizumi, Representative of Oizumi Kojo, has been appointed as Co-Producer for the stage production 'Titus Andronicus: Reborn.' This work will be performed as the opening act at the 'Craiova International Shakespeare Festival 2026,' one of the world's largest international theater festivals specializing in Shakespeare, to be held in Romania in May 2026. This work is produced by Theatre Company Kakushinhan, and is a modern reconstruction of Shakespeare's 'Titus Andronicus' by director Ryunosuke Kimura. In 2023, it was staged at 'WAREHOUSE' located in Oizumi Kojo's headquarters premises 'OKS CAMPUS'. It garnered attention for its immersive direction utilizing a space formerly used as a factory and its unique expression integrating the spirituality of Japanese Noh theater. Subsequently, the work received international acclaim and was officially invited to be the opening production at the 'Craiova International Shakespeare Festival 2026', in which over 40 countries worldwide participate. In a festival where figures like Peter Brook, Robert Lepage, Robert Wilson, and Yukio Ninagawa have historically participated, it is extremely significant that a production originating from Japan will grace the opening. Kantaro Oizumi's appointment as co-producer is a proactive involvement in the creative process itself, based on the philosophy of 'co-creating with creators and broadcasting culture,' as part of Oizumi Kojo's vision to 'create wonderful environments.' Co-creating culture, and taking Shakespeare from Kawaguchi to the world. Thus far, Oizumi Kojo has deployed initiatives spanning regions, cultures, and communities, not limited to the domains of sustainable food, agriculture, and wellness. Among these, the headquarters premises 'OKS CAMPUS' is not merely a facility; in addition to hosting sustainable market events, it is also tackling the creation and transmission of culture and arts like this project. With Representative Kantaro Oizumi participating as co-producer this time, we will earnestly promote a co-creation model that generates value together with creators in the realm of performing arts as well. ◾️ Producer Comments [Co-Producer] Kantaro Oizumi, Representative Director of Oizumi Kojo, Comment I am very honored that Kakushinhan's 'Shin Titus REBORN' has been selected as the opening production for the 'Craiova International Shakespeare Festival 2026', and that I have been appointed as co-producer accordingly. Until now, through 'food' such as Plant-Based and fermentation, and 'places' such as stores and events, I have confronted the question of 'how people should live in the coming era.' To be honest, at first, I couldn't articulate well why I was getting involved with Shakespeare. However, there is one thing that made sense to me. The time Shakespeare lived in was the Age of Discovery when the world suddenly opened up. While values mingled and the premises of society wavered, he continued to depict 'humans' rather than the 'world'. I believe it is because he continued to depict the essence of humanity that his works continue to survive even now, over 400 years later. And now, we too are in the midst of a major turning point. Environmental issues, the state of food, the evolution of technology. Righteousness is overflowing. But people are not moved by righteousness alone. Only when people's hearts are moved does society change. That is why I have redefined approaches to environmental issues and food as 'cool and stylish things', aiming for them to be implemented in society in a way that moves people's hearts even a little. I created the concept of and use it as a guideline for my activities. Theater is also something that turns philosophy into an 'experience'. It changes what is understood in the head into what is felt by the body. With that power, it moves people's hearts. This aligns with what I am trying to do through my business,
