Okinawa Arena Co., Ltd. and its group company, Ryukyu Golden Kings (Okinawa Basketball Co., Ltd.), are continuously working to create an environment where all visitors can enjoy coming to and watching events with peace of mind.
This initiative is now in its fourth year, and we are continuing to improve and expand its content based on the knowledge gained and feedback from users through past implementations. As part of our community outreach through creating opportunities for sports viewing, we are promoting the creation of an environment where everyone can feel close to the arena.
From last year, we changed the name from "Sensory Room" to "Friendly Room" and expanded the target audience beyond developmental support to include various individuals requiring care. This year, while continuing this philosophy, we are working to create an environment that can be utilized by even more people.
Furthermore, this year, in collaboration with the Community Welfare Section of the Okinawa Central Welfare Office, we set up an awareness booth at the Ryukyu Golden Kings' home game held on April 5th (Sunday), continuing from last year. In conjunction, we are conducting initiatives to widely convey the purpose of World Autism Awareness Day to visitors through information dissemination utilizing mega-vision and leaflet distribution.
Through this initiative, it has become an opportunity for those who previously had limited opportunities to watch sports to visit Okinawa Suntory Arena, leading to the creation of new experiences and enjoyment. Moving forward, from the perspective of community outreach and regional contribution, we will continue to create an environment where everyone can spend time with peace of mind, and aim to operate the facility as an arena open to the community, loved by an even wider range of people.

[What is the Friendly Room?]
The Friendly Room is a space designed to allow a wide range of people, including those with sensory sensitivities or developmental disabilities (which was the initial trigger for the Sensory Room), as well as those requiring medical care, to experience Okinawa Suntory Arena. It is a room where visitors can enjoy sports viewing and other events in a calm environment, with reduced bright lights and loud noises, and routes that avoid crowds. This initiative aims to provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy events at Okinawa Suntory Arena.
