A New Beginning for Learning: University of the Ryukyus Entrance Ceremony Held at Okinawa Suntory Arena

On Thursday, April 2, 2026, the "2026 University of the Ryukyus Undergraduate and Graduate Entrance Ceremony" was held for the first time at the Okinawa Suntory Arena.

On the day of the event, approximately 1,900 new students and 2,000 parents and guardians attended. The Okinawa Suntory Arena served as the stage for this "new beginning," marking the first step into a new chapter of life for many.

This initiative marked the first time the ceremony, which had previously been held at a different venue, was hosted at the Okinawa Suntory Arena, with our company contracted to manage a portion of the operations.

New Utilization as a Multi-Purpose Arena

The Okinawa Suntory Arena is operated as a facility capable of accommodating diverse purposes, including not only sports and concerts but also ceremonies and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). Hosting this entrance ceremony serves as a new case study for the education sector, further expanding the potential of the multi-purpose arena.
