The Journey and Future of Okinawa Suntory Arena Since Its Completion

On March 28, 2021, the Okinawa Suntory Arena held its completion ceremony and was born amidst great expectations. Designed as a facility to attract visitors to Okinawa City and revitalize the region, it was built with the premise of diverse utilization, including sports and entertainment, music, MICE, and local events. Functioning as a hub for interaction and vibrancy, the facility has grown with the support of many, welcoming over 2 million visitors in total.

Since its opening, the arena has become a space where people gather and share a sense of unity through diverse content, including international tournaments, professional sports, music concerts by domestic and international artists, various events, and MICE.

However, the value of the arena goes beyond mere "facility usage." Okinawa Arena Co., Ltd. has emphasized connections with the community centered around the arena, pursuing its role as a "community-co-prosperity arena" through partnerships with local businesses, providing sports opportunities for children, and implementing citizen-participatory events.

Moving forward, we will go beyond the boundaries of sports and entertainment to further strengthen coordination with tourism, MICE, and local industries, enhancing our role as a hub that contributes to the economic revitalization of Okinawa City and, by extension, the entire Okinawa Prefecture. We will continue to strive for safe and secure operations as a facility that promotes regional revitalization and gives back to the community. We are committed to initiatives that make the facility feel accessible to citizens and will continue to promote interaction with the local area to ensure we remain a beloved facility for everyone.
