[Onko Chishin Inc.] FY2026 Onboarding Ceremony and Training Held at Hotel Season Nichinan

Onko Chishin Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Tomoki Matsuyama), a company that produces lodgings that become the destination of a trip (= destination hotels), held its onboarding ceremony on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 'Hotel Season Nichinan' (Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture), which the company operates, welcoming 25 new employees (including 5 foreign nationals). Under our corporate philosophy of being 'evangelists of local light,' our company discovers the value residing in the wisdom, techniques, handiwork, and craftsmanship nurtured over many years in a region as 'local light', polishing that light and delivering it as an accommodation experience. For this onboarding ceremony, with the aim of having new employees experientially understand the local light that our company values, we conducted a training program where they actually toured Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture, and came into contact with the activities and culture rooted in the land. | Location of the FY2026 Onboarding Ceremony: 'Nichinan City' Nichinan City, the stage for this onboarding ceremony, is a town blessed with a mild climate year-round, a coastline overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and rich nature. Obi, which has prospered as a castle town since ancient times and is called the 'Little Kyoto of Kyushu', boasts history and tradition, such as being designated as Kyushu's first Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. The coastal side, which flourished as a port town, features the Nichinan Coast stretching along the Hyuga Nada Sea, offering diverse highlights such as spectacular views woven by tropical phoenix trees and wave-eroded rocks. In addition, shochu distilleries and soy sauce breweries dot the area, making it a land where one can experience the locally rooted food culture, manufacturing, and the manual labor residing within. Against this background, we selected Nichinan City as the stage for this training, serving as a field that embodies Onko Chishin's philosophy. | About the Onboarding Ceremony Training Content The training was conducted the day before the onboarding ceremony. Under the theme of 'Finding Local Light', new employees divided into several groups and toured various parts of the city. The course included walking tours guided by local volunteers in the Obi Castle Town, sightseeing spots like 'Sun Messe Nichinan' and 'Udo Shrine', and local factory tours. This training aims not only to acquire knowledge about the culture and activities rooted in the region but also to cultivate the perspective of noticing 'local light' through experience and thinking about how to deliver it through accommodation facilities. By actually visiting, seeing, hearing, and experiencing, it served as an opportunity to grasp the charm of the region from multiple angles.
