This certification was conducted in accordance with the 'Regulations Concerning the Certification of Research and Development Management Professionals at Okayama University.' Its objectives are to train individuals capable of taking an active and subjective role in R&D management and to elevate the professional skills of faculty and staff. Candidates are assessed and certified based on acquiring 'Certified URA' status from the Research Administrator Skill Certification Association, or by meeting specified criteria through a point system based on various qualifications. Certified individuals are expected to apply their deep understanding of research content and organizational operations to R&D management.
This certification program is part of the university's structural reforms utilizing the 'Project for promoting regional core and distinctive research universities (J-PEAKS).' With this certification, the total number of certified professionals has reached 10. The university plans to expand the program to foster a collaborative environment where researchers and R&D management professionals work together on research challenges.
