◆ Overview

National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City; President: Yasutomo Nasu) held the "Okayama University Knowledge Sharing Event" on March 9, 2026, at the Co-creation Innovation Lab (KIBINOVE) on its Tsushima Campus, with approximately 40 participants.

The university is committed to fostering "knowledge workers" – individuals who possess the ability to create new value by leveraging knowledge, coupled with flexible adaptability and a broad perspective – by utilizing the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Program for Promoting the Enhancement of Research Universities as Regional Core and Distinctive Institutions (J-PEAKS)". This event was held with the aim of further cultivating a culture where administrative and technical staff can share their challenges and discuss solutions, in line with the development of "knowledge workers."

At this event, Ms. Miki Samukawa from the Student Support Division, Academic Affairs Department, Niigata University, and Mr. Junichi Nishiyama from the Planning Division, General Affairs Department, Niigata University, who actively hold similar events, were invited as special guests. After the presentation of each knowledge topic, feedback was received through comments and Q&A sessions with Ms. Samukawa and Mr. Nishiyama.

On the day of the event, seven themes were presented by the university's administrative and technical staff, including "Development of an Automatic Risk Check Tool for Security Export Control," "Construction of an AI Inquiry Desk Utilizing Organizational Knowledge," "Workshop: 'Acquire the Ability to Interpret National Trends Now!'," "Consideration of a New Organizational Structure for Strategic Support System for University Top Management," "Initiatives of Okayama Tech Garage," "Designing Event Participation Seamlessly with ICT × Reasonable Accommodation × Horizontal Collaboration," and "WORK LIKE PLAY! - Adding Playfulness to Work -". A wide range of knowledge was shared.

The university will continue to promote the development of knowledge workers, which is one of the initiatives of J-PEAKS, and actively disseminate good practices. Please continue to look forward to the initiatives of Okayama University, a core regional and distinctive research university.

This matter was released on April 30, 2026.
