◆ Overview

National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City; President: Yasutomo Nasu) held an information session for its Exchange Program (EPOK) for dispatch in Spring 2027 and a report session by returning students on April 15, 2026. EPOK (Exchange Program Okayama) is an exchange study abroad system implemented by the university for all undergraduate students, and as of April 2026, it is possible to be dispatched to 65 partner universities.

44 students from various faculties participated in the information session. At the beginning, Associate Professor Junko Obayashi of the Institute of Academic Research, Common Education and Global Area, took the stage and encouraged the participants, saying, "If you try writing down in English what you want to gain from studying abroad, you will realize a thought process different from usual. Please try writing it down. I hope to support your study abroad through EPOK from now on." She then explained the outline of the EPOK system in detail. Subsequently, staff from the International Education Promotion Division explained the eligibility requirements and precautions for applying to EPOK, and the process after becoming a candidate for dispatch.

At the study abroad report session, eight students presented their learning and student life at their respective host universities. Detailed accounts of their actual experiences, such as specific preparations for studying abroad, classes at the host institution, dormitory life, and living costs, were introduced.

Please continue to look forward to the initiatives of Okayama University: an open regional core and distinctive research university.
