Okayama University Holds Entrance Ceremonies for Affiliated Schools in Reiwa 8 Academic Year

◆ Overview

National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City; President: Yasutomo Nasu) held entrance ceremonies for its affiliated schools (kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, special needs school) for the Reiwa 8 academic year from April 9 to 14, 2026. A total of 316 new students enrolled: 36 in kindergarten (3-year-olds), 84 in elementary school, 180 in junior high school, and 3 in elementary division, 5 in junior high division, and 8 in high school division of the special needs school.

President Yasutomo Nasu attended the ceremonies wearing the university's official academic gown and cap. He extended his congratulations to the newly enrolled infants, children, students, and their guardians on behalf of Okayama University. He then strongly stated, "Your children have now become members of Okayama University. The university and its affiliated schools will work together to realize a better future (well-being) for the children."

At every school and kindergarten, the new students, with bright eyes full of hope, received warm words of welcome from the principals, directors, and senior students, making for a very impressive and wonderful ceremony.
