A Tokyo-born music producer, arranger, lyricist, composer, bassist, keyboardist, guitarist, and manipulator.

Began learning piano in childhood, inspired by film composers like Joe Hisaishi, but after discovering Hi-STANDARD in sixth grade, decided to pursue a career as a band musician.

Known for crafting catchy melodies and genre-crossing arrangements, he has produced, composed, and arranged music for numerous artists including BE:FIRST, eill, Superfly, timelesz, sumika, Hyde, Tani Yuuki, MISIA, chevon, V6, ASH DA HERO, ALI, Hoshimachi Suisei, and RADIO FISH.

Additionally, as a utility player, he provides live support for artists such as official髭男dism, sumika, and BE:FIRST.

Since 2018, he has engaged in co-writing activities with international artists, expanding his music career with a global market focus. In 2022, he founded 'OIKOS MUSIC' to support young artists.

In 2024, he launched the artist project 'cross-dominance by Ryo'LEFTY'Miyata', bringing together artists across nationalities, genres, genders, and generations to collaborate and deliver music to the world.

JFN Nationwide FM Radio Program 'MUSIC TOURIST'

A talk show that journeys through the world of music and creativity with music producer Ryo’LEFTY’Miyata. Through conversations with leading artists, producers, film directors, manga artists, and other cross-genre creatives, the program invites listeners into the creative world. 'MUSIC TOURIST' features authentic, first-person insights from artists, producers, and creators, making listeners feel as if they are co-creating music.

The program will also showcase new music born from on-air collaborations. In addition to collaborative tracks created through talks with renowned and emerging artists, the show collaborates with local singers, instrumentalists, traditional music performers, and amateur musicians from each network station’s region. Listener submissions will be used to create music from sounds collected during travels and the diverse 'sounds of Japan' from where listeners live.
