In response to a request from Saitama Prefecture or Saitama City for the construction of emergency housing during a disaster, the Association will provide assistance, including arranging for its member housing construction companies.

■ Rapid Supply of Emergency Housing Made Possible by Off-site Construction

One of the challenges with construction-type emergency housing is the time it takes to build on-site amid the chaos following a disaster. The off-site construction promoted by our Association is a method where housing units are pre-produced in factories and then transported and installed in the affected areas. This significantly shortens the on-site process, enabling the swift delivery of high-quality, stable housing to disaster victims.

During the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, member companies of the Association supplied 261 emergency housing units, demonstrating their mobility and supply capabilities.

■ Promoting Agreements with Municipalities Nationwide

The Association is currently signing agreements regarding emergency housing in times of disaster with multiple prefectures and municipalities, establishing a system to act swiftly when needed.

Large-scale disasters can occur anytime, anywhere. We encourage municipal officials who are thinking, "We want to be prepared for an emergency in our region," to please feel free to consult with our Association. We will provide detailed explanations about the content of the agreements and our network of member companies.
