Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeru Suzuki), in collaboration with Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President: Akihiro Kosaka) and Tokyu Fudosan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Tatsuaki Tanaka), will open "Shinjuku Future Gallery" on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. This information dissemination and co-creation communication hub for the "Shinjuku Station West Exit Area Redevelopment Project" will be located a minute's walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit. Through exhibitions of city models and VR content that allows visitors to virtually experience the construction site, we will convey the progress of the development work, which is usually hidden behind temporary fences and unseen by the public. Through this initiative, we aim to show visitors the evolving site and the vision of this project as it approaches completion, sharing the excitement of the development, and thereby realizing urban development that everyone can feel attached to and be proud of.

The highlights of this facility are the city model, publicly exhibited for the first time, which立体的に expresses the planned building, a super high-rise complex approximately 260m tall, and other structures (2.10m north-south, 1.65m east-west, planned building maximum height 0.74m), and the "Shinjuku Station West Exit Area Redevelopment VR Site Tour," which allows visitors to virtually experience the development site covered by temporary fences.
The city model represents an area of approximately 380,000m2 around the station (700m north-south, 542.5m east-west) at a 1/350 scale. We hope that visitors will be able to see the scale of the planned building in the Shinjuku area and feel the future changes in the city.
In the VR site tour, you can view 360-degree footage captured at the development site, including the former Odakyu Department Store Shinjuku Main Building site and above Shinjuku Station on the Odakyu Line, using VR equipment. This approximately 15-minute video captures the unique processes of large-scale construction carried out while railway operations continue, special heavy machinery, and the current state of buildings undergoing demolition. You can enjoy a "submersion experience" into the development site, which is normally inaccessible, without reservation and free of charge.
In addition, other VR content available includes "Experiential VR Romancecar for Traveling Through Time," where you can enjoy the old Odakyu Line Shinjuku Station and scenery along the line, and the "Odakyu Driver Experience Simulator," which even small children can experience (paid).
The facility also features a self-service cafe and a communication board where visitors can freely write their thoughts and impressions. It will also be utilized as a venue for interaction and dialogue, such as tours and workshops in the future. We hope that everyone visiting Shinjuku for work, shopping, or other outings, along with various partners, will discover the "new charm" of Shinjuku Station, the world's continuously evolving terminal, expand the circle of "excitement," and foster attachment to the city.
