The Romancecar Museum (Location: Ebina City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Director: Jiro Yoshikyu), operated by Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd., will hold the "Romancecar Museum 5th Anniversary Week" from Saturday, April 18th to Sunday, April 26th, to commemorate its 5th anniversary on Sunday, April 19th, 2026.
When the museum first opened, we started with inconveniences for our customers, such as a complete reservation system due to the impact of the infectious disease. However, supported by the local community and many other customers, we have welcomed over 880,000 visitors to date. As a project to mark the 5th anniversary milestone, we will roll out events where people of all generations can experience the "memories and charms of the Romancecar," including a free trial of an athletic playground where children can move their bodies with absorption, and a special project where you can enjoy coffee inside a train car.

●The anniversary date, April 19th, will be a special day to celebrate the 5th anniversary.
On April 19th, the 5th anniversary of the museum's opening, we have prepared many special projects for this event.
You can experience the paid content "Romancecar Athletics," for which about 90% of the weekend slots are usually filled, for free. Children can enjoy the world of the Romancecar while moving their bodies on slides and in ball pools. Additionally, a greeting event featuring characters with ties to Kanagawa Prefecture, including Odakyu Electric Railway's child-rearing support character "Mokoron," will be held in front of the Romancecar VSE (50000 series), which went on display last month, where you can enjoy taking photos.
In addition, we will create a lively atmosphere befitting the anniversary with performances by the tap dancer who appears in the museum's videos and a quiz competition on themes such as "Romancecar" and "Travel."
●Experience the memories and charm of the Romancecar with a special ride.
On Saturday, the 25th, you can board the "Moha 1," a train that ran at the time of the Odakyu Line's opening (about 100 years ago) and is not usually accessible. You can feel the atmosphere of the railway of that time while closely observing the structure, which is different from current vehicles, such as the wood-based interior and the driver's cab without partitions.
On the 26th, we will hold a special event where you can enjoy coffee while riding in the "Super Seat" of the displayed Romancecar RSE (20000 series). "Atsugi Coffee," which has local ties, will sell coffee near the RSE that can be brought onto the train. You can enjoy the nostalgic feeling of a Romancecar journey of the past, along with the aroma of coffee, while sitting in seats that are wider than usual and equipped with footrests.
●During the period, a commemorative headmark will be displayed and commemorative cards will be given as gifts.
During this event period, a 5th-anniversary commemorative headmark will be displayed on the exhibited Romancecar NSE (3100 series). Conscious of the connection with the local community, it features a design of "strawberries," which are actively produced in Ebina. On the 26th, the final day of the display, a "Rock-Paper-Scissors Tournament" will be held with this headmark as the prize, adding a touch of color to the final day. Also, from the 19th, commemorative cards with the same design as the tapestry created to commemorate the "5th Anniversary" and the "Start of the VSE Exhibition," which is displayed at the 2nd-floor entrance, will be given to the first 5,000 people.
Going forward, we will continue to aim to be a museum where fun and learning can be obtained while connecting generations, serving as a place of new discovery for children and a place that evokes nostalgic memories for adults, through events and other activities.
